Susie is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and the Co-Response Program Manager for the Lakewood, CO Police Department. Since 2020, she has served as both a clinician and program developer. Trained in crisis intervention, she also provides internal training on crisis de-escalation, trauma-informed practices, SPMI, and lethality/threat assessments.

As a founding member of Lakewood’s multidisciplinary threat assessment team, Susie continues to advance these initiatives. She has consulted on the creation of new co-responder programs across Colorado and remains a strong advocate for their growth. Passionate about ongoing education, Susie has coordinated the Colorado Co-Responder Symposium along with partners from Douglas County Sheriff’s Office and Denver’s Co-Responder program for three consecutive years, drawing over 100 attendees from across the state.

Additionally, she has been a board member of the Colorado Co-Responder Alliance since 2022 and recently stepped into the role of co-chair. Susie is excited to continue building on the successful efforts of co-response in Colorado, working collaboratively to enhance the impact and reach of these vital programs.
